Is this you too?
“I love the idea of having my child at home with me and learning together, but I also have to work. I can’t see how to do both successfully.”
“I’m just a parent desperately looking for worthwhile ideas and activities to use with my daughter.”
“Preparing activities at home is time-consuming, and it’s so it’s really disappointing and frustrating when my kids don’t engage with what I have taken so much time to put together.”
“I just need some straight-forward, step-by-step guidance to make sure I don’t leave gaps in my child’s learning. But even that feels overwhelming right now.”
“I am convinced of the fun approach to learning time at home, especially when kids are really young. But buying an endless supply of games becomes very costly.
“I want to follow my child’s lead but I also want to make sure that they are learning what they need to.”
“I feel so sad right now – my twins were thriving in preschool and now they can’t go there and may not be able to go back before starting kindergarten in September. I am so sad about what they are missing out on, in terms of developing friendships as well as the rich learning environment provided. How can I make up for that at home?”
“My son just isn’t interested in learning with me, period. It’s soul-destroying and nothing like what I imagined for parenthood.”
“I know that what my youngest children need to learn isn’t what they push on them in school, but I also don’t have very much time to play/learn with them myself. I work and I have other kids.”
“I’ve realised recently that in spite of reading tons with my son, he is really lacking in imagination. I don’t know how to best to help him develop that.”
“Planning activities usually takes forever and often my kids just do them because they feel they should. And then after 5 minutes they ask if they can ‘go and play now’. It’s so disheartening that I can’t get them interested what I prepare!”
We hear you - and you are not alone!
The internet is literally flooded with ideas and resources for you to use with your children. You could pack so many of these activities into your day, and quite possibly burn out in the process.
Many parents are simply overwhelmed and it can be really tough to feel confident that you are doing ‘enough’ for your child.
So how can you cut through all of the options, to pick out what will really:
⇒ give your child the best learning experiences possible
⇒ give them the gift of playing/learning time with you
⇒ stimulate and feed their thirst for learning
⇒ help them to play independently?
And all without becoming overwhelmed yourself and giving you much-needed time to work and for other things?

Hello!
We are Key to Learning at Home…
Hello!
We are Key to Learning at Home…
We are a team of teaching professionals and leading educational psychologists that has been dedicated for over 25 years now to researching, designing, testing and refining exactly what young children really need before the age of 6 in order to excel academically and on a personal level throughout their lives.
And at the same time, that can be achieved from short bursts of adult input during exciting, shared play, that stimulates the child further and supports their growth into more independent play and learning.
The Key to Learning activities have proven time and again to change a child’s learning trajectory for life.
Our goal was very simple: to create the easiest, most appealing, highest quality, most engaging activities for children, that come with step-by-step instructions and resources, so that even parents with little or no teaching experience can give their child the best educational start in life.
Key to Learning at Home is exactly that (and more!), and if any of what we just described resonates with you – then we made it for you!
Introducing our Activity Packs:
Activities that get you the best results for your child with the least amount of work from you!
Just 20 Minutes
Each of the activities takes about 20 minutes or less – but is the equivalent of hours of learning outside of this program. And children are almost always inspired and play independently afterwards, so you get some time for other things.
Playful learning
The activities are delightful, fun, play- and story-based, 100% developmentally appropriate and are nothing like traditional lessons. Everything is done in a way that your child doesn’t realise that ‘learning’ is going on.
Easy to use
Full notes are provided for each activity, together with any printable resources needed. You don’t need to have any prior teaching knowledge – just follow our guide. You will know exactly what to do, how to do it, what to use, what to expect and why you’re doing it.
Learning with you
In the activities, you and your child play together. Our parents always say that the activities significantly strengthen the connection and learning relationship with their children.
Proven results
These activities have proven time and again to develop children’s creativity, thinking skills, language, reasoning, imagination, logic, attention, independence and much more. Overall, they become exceptional thinkers and learners.
The key
The outstanding abilities that children develop from these activities have been proven to be the key to a happy and successful academic and personal future.
“It’s something that’s having such a positive impact on our lives! Most of the activities come with a twist or some kind of story or purpose for the child e.g. instead of ‘draw spirals’, it becomes, ‘a bee is landing on a flower, show how it makes spirals!’ This gets my kids engaged every time, they love the stories behind each activity. This is what sets it apart from the other activities I see on the internet, which assume the kid will want to do something just for the sake of learning. The activities show extension into our daily life. I’ve never experienced that before with other kids’ activities.”

Independent Professional Reviews
“I have seen preschools all over the world. There are some excellent examples, particularly in New Zealand, USA and Northern Italy, but this (program of activities) is outstanding. I do not believe I have seen a better one the world over.”
“What sets Key to Learning apart from any other preschool program I have ever seen is the depth of conceptual planning. It literally sparkles with superb, original, educational ideas. The emphasis is on the development of children’s abilities to think in symbolic terms – leading to higher order thinking skills in later life.”
“In my 20 years of research in education, I have never seen a program that develops language and communication as effectively as Key to Learning does. For two years, I evaluated the effect of Key to Learning on a group of young learners. The impact of this program was greatest on the child’s vocabulary, creative language and focused attention. This was confirmed by experimental data. Key to Learning crosses cultural boundaries and it clearly has a marked impact on the child’s cognitive development.”
“As a literary specialist working in Early Years, I was deeply impressed. The levels of language and cognitive skills displayed by the children were remarkable and the activities were imaginative and exciting.”
Clear and easy-to-use notes and printable resources

Simple members’ area for easy access to the activities

“The ‘twist’ that the activities have has made me realise how we can approach learning from a new perspective. I am really happy we have started doing this program and that I am being supported in the process of guiding my child on this amazing journey. I’m absolutely delighted. Thank you!“
Let’s sort out what’s on your mind…
Are these activities really as good as you say they are?
YES! But don’t just take our word for it – check out the independent reviews from professional educators and educational specialists on this page too. ALL of them spent significant time observing and evaluating the activities from Key to Learning and all were blown away by them. We have hundreds of reviews like this but can’t put them all here, for obvious reasons!
And don’t be fooled by the perceived simplicity of some of the activities – there is a always a deeper meaning at play.
I've seen some great ideas on the internet for free - why is this any better than those?
There are hundreds of websites out there, some of which offer beautiful and varied activities for this age group, often for free. But NONE of them offer the opportunity to specifically and consistently develop the mental abilities that your child needs to develop before the age of 6, to become an exceptional thinker and learner. Most of the activities in the Key to Learning at Home Activity Packs are completely unique and you won’t find them anywhere else, for free or otherwise.
What changes can I expect to see in my child?
We have story after story of parents, teachers and other educational professionals who tell us about the differences that they have seen in children who are participating in the Key to Learning at Home activities. These include exceptionally high levels of or abilities in the following:
Critical thinking skills
Memory
Imagination
Creativity
Perception
Processing
Reasoning
Articulation of ideas
Story-telling ability
Logic
Problem-solving
Communication
Language
Confidence
Win-win mindset
Collaboration
Focused attention
Resilience
Perseverance
Resourcefulness
Self-awareness
Self-discipline
Growth mindset
Concentration
Planning
Self-regulation
Art skills
Expressive movements
Following directions
Passion for learning
Reading comprehension
Spatial awareness
Empathy
Seeing things from another’s point of view…
The list just goes on and on! 😉
Does the program use worksheets or involve any screentime?
No, these are hands-on activities that you do together with your child. You might want to show some of the supporting images to your child on screen, instead of printing them, and there are a few activities that involve a sheet that the child draws on or makes markings on, but that’s it.
Does my child need to be able to read or write to do any of the sessions?
Not at all!
Are the activities suitable to do with more than one child at once?
Absolutely! If you have children reasonably close in age, for example, you can and should do the activities with both at once, as the social aspect and development of their communicative abilities will be enhanced even further. And each child will take what they are developmentally ready to take from each activity, and that’s fine. You can go into more detail with a slightly older child, less with a slightly younger child. Older children can also support the younger ones, deepening their own learning in a fun way in the process. There isn’t one right way to do this – just find what works for you and your children.
How much preparation is required?
Each ‘session’ in the Activity Packs takes between 5 and 10 minutes to prepare, including reading the notes, highlighting points for yourself or whatever will make it easy for you personally to follow the activity when you’re doing it with your child, as well as cutting up or collecting together any resources you need.
Do I need any special resources?
No – just the printable resources provided and other materials/toys/objects that you would most likely have in your home anyway or can buy easily and cheaply.
What should I tell my child before starting?
Some parents introduce the activities as they would any other as part of their homeschooling/activity timetable each day. Others just have everything for an activity ready and left out, and the child is usually drawn to it. When they ask what it is and why it’s there, the parent starts telling the story for this activity or starts ‘playing’ according to the notes. Other parents just do an activity with their child as and when they can. You will find the way that works best for you, your child and your circumstances!
All your child will think is that they are having fun playing with you. They don’t need to know that ‘learning’ is going on and no-one should feel any pressure at all.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the activity packs being provided as a digital product with immediate access upon purchase, and the fact that we offer free trials of all the activity packs so you can try them out before buying, we don’t offer refunds.
